Diabetes

Diabética

Neuropatía Periférica

Algunos pacientes diabéticos experimentan sensación de hormigueo, entumecimiento y ardor en los pies. Existen algunos medicamentos para aliviar estos síntomas, pero aún se necesitan más medicamentos para curar esta afección.

Gastroparesia Diabética

La gastroparesia diabética es una afección que se presenta en algunos pacientes diabéticos cuando el estómago no puede digerir los alimentos adecuadamente.

Hipertensión

Asma

NASH

(Hígado Graso)

EPOC

High Triglycerides

Triglycerides are part of the lipid components. When elevated, they have harmful effects on the body like causing inflammation of the Pancreas and other effects on the cardiovascular system.

To qualify for a study, please, tell us what was your last triglyceride level.

COPD

Patients with COPD might have shortness of breath and repeated doctor’s visits. Patients will get free pulmonary function testing.

If their lung function is lower than normal, they will qualify to participate and might get an inhaler that keeps them away from doctor’s visits due repeated attacks.

NASH

(Fatty Liver)

A certain percentage of patients who have some risk factors might develop fatty liver.

Fatty liver might progress to some medical condition called NASH. This condition if not treated might lead to cirrhosis and liver failure.

If you enroll, you will get free of charge lab tests, fibro scan, MRI, and liver biopsy. If results are normal, you get assurance that your liver is good, and you don’t qualify to continue in the study.

If the results are positive, you might get a treatment for NASH.

Asthma

Patients with a history of asthma and are taking certain inhalers receive free pulmonary function testing.

If the test shows that their lung function is below normal, then they might qualify to receive a new free inhaler.

Patients with high cholesterol might be taking cholesterol medications or unable to tolerate statins and their cholesterol is still high.

If you meet certain criteria of risk factors, you might qualify to try one of the new class of cholesterol lowering medications that are more promising than statins.

High blood pressure

Patients might be receiving two or three blood pressure medications and their blood pressure might still be not under control.

If this is the case, we do close follow up on blood pressure and in some cases, we offer a 24-hour blood pressure monitor.

If blood pressure is still high, patient can qualify to participate.

He or she will continue to take their current blood pressure medications in addition to the new medication and will be followed in the office.

Diabetic Gastroparesis

Diabetic Gastroparesis is a condition that occur in some diabetic patients when the stomach is not able to digest food properly.

Consequently, patients develop nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite. We offer a free test to diagnose gastroparesis and if the test is positive, the patient will qualify to participate and might get free medication.
